A tweet from Ives Galarcep today claimed that Sporting Kansas City forward Soony Saad will be heading to play in Thailand for BEC Tero Sasana.
Sources have confirmed to me that Sporting KC forward Soony Saad has signed w/ Thailand Premier League side BEC Tero Sasana on free transfer

Saad was out of contract after the 2014 season and his rights will be retained by Sporting were he to come back to MLS in the future.
His rights, however, are up for grabs in the Expansion Draft, even if he won’t be under contract with MLS in 2015.
Soony Saad arrived to Sporting Park as the team’s pick in the Allocation Order in 2011. He scored a goal in his rookie year, a rather accidental goal against Portland Timbers, but they all count the same:
In 2014, Saad didn’t have the best luck making it into the starting lineup regularly, but still made 22 appearances, scoring three goals.
Saad is the second SKC player from 2014 to sign for a team in Asia. Lawrence Olum signed for Kedah FA in the Malaysian second division just a few weeks ago. I can’t help but believe that Saad will excel in Thailand with regular starts and a good team around him. BEC Tero Sasana finished third in the Thai Premier League last season.
